Interpretive Signs

Everything in the public realm has a story, the interpretive signs capture and present the cultural, inspirational, art, landscaping, design innovations, thinking and how we tied everything together with the three district themes of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability and the overarching theme of Connecting Minds, Creating the Future – for example: a specific flora species would be purposefully planted in a particular area of the Mobility District because it meant something to be seen and enjoyed in that area, Calligraphy benches were created from Arabic words chosen by an Emirati committee and placed in certain areas relating to the meaning of the word. There are 81 designs that present the information (at waist-height), written in Arabic and English with reference illustration of the content.
